MMA (mixed martial arts) is a combat sport in which participants utilize boxing, kickboxing, wrestling, and grappling all at the same time. The goal of a MMA fighter is to win with a knock out, technical knockout, or submission. Knockouts or technical knockouts may occur while up on the feet or down on the ground. Competition is held in a cage with a matted floor. MMA is not a barbaric fighting format. There are many rules to follow and has become legitimate refined sport. Most people here at Pinnacle Sports and Fitness who participate in the MMA classes are not fighters. Anybody can benefit from MMA training. Men and women alike participate in MMA classes. While someone participates in the grappling, wrestling, boxing, and kickboxing training sessions, it is fun to see how it all fits together in MMA. MMA is definitely a great way to increase your fitness level.
