Most people are familiar with boxing. Boxing is a combat sport in which 2 boxers are engaged in trying to punch each other. While one learns how to punch and defend those punches with blocks, slips, ducks, pivoting, and other such defensive moves, they also can get into great shape. Whether its hitting the heavy bags, focus mitts, shadow boxing, sparring drills, or sparring, each participant will learn proper technique and develop speed, power, endurance. Boxing offers someone a chance to compete if they so choose to go that route. If you do not wish to compete then simply training and developing boxing skills is rewarding in and of itself.
